Car Pooling any one ?

Well.. I was passing through Valmiki nagar on my way to my friends house.A hoarding caught my attention "VAREWA CAR POOL POINT" I was actually amazed by this practice in Chennai.. Also a couple of hoardings like this have been set up. But the question is Does it work ? I was keen to have a look at these points every time i went to school and back home in my school bus.I've never seen any activities going on here. Sometimes people resting apart under the shade of the bill board. We must indeed pat the residents for taking such an effort. But who has cared to incorporate it? As going through a number of thoughts and voices rolled in my mind. Carpooling is effective ; very effective indeed. It does save our natural oil for the future generations.

Frankly speaking most of the people think going in their own car adds so much pride and prestige. But is this prestige thing gonna last for long ?
Then why these points? Until we all realise This is never going to work. but then, When will we realise?? We have to learn from the Americans for instance.
They have oil resources but they buy oil from another country and save their resources
They have timber but they save it too
These examples extend to a long list........
The ideology is that when the whole world gets exhausted of resources and get depleted America will last for another 50 years!!
If car pooling proves succesful we can save
*money
* fuel
*less traffic
Nothing can be done untill we realise
When will we realise??
